Ballast works on your device first. Your ratings, notes and practices stay there unless you choose to sign in and sync.

If you sync, your entries are stored so you can reach them on another device. We don't sell them, and we don't use them for advertising.

Logging in to this website creates a Ballast account. Your optional display name and focus are stored with your account and can be changed on the account page. Check-ins and optional reflections you save in My Ballast are stored privately with your account so you can return to them. You can delete a check-in and its reflection from your recent check-ins. These website practices do not send your entries to AI.

Logging in does not save homepage preview check-ins or automatically sync entries from a separate app.

AI features are optional and off until you turn them on. When they are on, only the text you choose to send is used to respond to you.

The homepage's optional written check-in sends your words and Drive, Peace and Voice ratings to Lovable AI to recommend a practice. Ballast does not save this preview as an app entry. Avoid including identifying details or information you don't want processed by the AI service.

You can export everything, or delete everything, at any time from within the app.
