A little clarity.

The ritual, the practices, and what happens when you check in.

Is Ballast about being less ambitious?

No. Gratitude isn't the opposite of ambition. Ballast brings Drive, Peace and Voice together so you can appreciate what you have while reaching for what matters.

What are Drive, Peace and Voice?

Drive is your energy and direction. Peace is feeling settled and present. Voice is how you speak to yourself: an advocate or a critic.

How much time does the ritual take?

A few quiet minutes. A two-minute version still counts: check in, take a breath, and make room for one short practice.

What if I miss a day?

Start again whenever you like. There are no streaks to protect or badges to earn. Missing a day never matters.

What are a Sail and a Floor?

A Sail is what you're reaching for. A Floor is what stays true either way. One gives you direction; the other keeps you grounded.

Does the homepage preview save my check-in?

No. Preview ratings, written feelings and suggestions are not saved as Ballast app entries. Refreshing the page clears the preview.

Do I have to use AI?

No. Ratings-only suggestions work without AI. If you choose a written check-in with AI, your words and ratings are sent to Lovable AI to recommend a practice. Avoid identifying details.

Is Ballast a substitute for therapy?

No. Ballast is a reflection practice, not professional care or a crisis service. In the US, call or text 988 in a crisis. If you're in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
